Which iPhones does it work on?

iPhones that support Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) running iOS 26, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri. Receipts are read on the device, so the app needs it.

It says Apple Intelligence is getting ready

Your iPhone is still downloading the Apple Intelligence model. Keep it on Wi-Fi and charging, then open the app again.

Why is a receipt in Review?

Bill only marks a receipt Ready when the total he read is printed on the receipt and the date makes sense. If anything is unclear, or the receipt is in a language Apple Intelligence doesn’t support yet, it waits for you to check it. Tap the photo to zoom in, correct the details, and save.

How does Bill choose the business?

First by the card you paid with, if you’ve added it in Settings › Businesses & cards. Then by where you filed the same merchant before. Otherwise it uses your default business. To move a receipt, long-press it in the list or tap Business on the receipt screen.

How do receipts reach my accountant?

Add a bills email for each business in Settings › Businesses, for example the address Xero gives you for emailing bills. When a receipt is ready, Bill emails it there from [email protected]. You can send up to 100 receipts a month. Personal receipts are never sent.

How do I log Apple Pay payments?

Open Settings › Card payments from Wallet in the app and follow the steps to create a Shortcuts automation. After that, every Apple Pay tap is logged and Bill reminds you if there’s no receipt.

How do I find receipts from a trip?

Tap the Photos button in the receipt list, choose Find receipts in Photos, and pick the dates of your trip. Tap any photo to inspect it before adding.

How do I delete my data?

Swipe left on a receipt to delete it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy for details.
